Firefighters and rescue personnel underwent training exercises at Rappleye Farms in Horton on Sunday, August 2.  Staff and volunteers from area departments including Spring Arbor, Sandstone, Cambridge, Hanover, Addison and Rives-Tompkins trained on rescue in several scenarios.  Each year in Michigan, more than two dozen people are killed in farm related accidents.  Training techniques involved a rollover tractor and workers trapped in a combine and in a grain elevator.
