(2-14-2025, 10:40PM): The rematch between the Golden Eagles and the Cardinals was as good as advertised, as Columbia Central knocked off Michigan Center 59-56 on Saturday night at home, winning the 2025 Boys Basketball Cascades Conference Championship.
Although the school was not a member of the conference the entire period, Saturday’s title for CCHS was their first in the Cascades since the 1982-83 season. Michigan Center’s last title now still remains from the 2017 season. Columbia Central snaps MC’s long 15-game winning streak, and extend their own streak to now 10 straight games inside 12 of the last 13 games.
Columbia Central is now 17-4 overall, they will travel to Williamston on Thursday (2/19) for their regular season finale. Michigan Center falls to 18-2, and they will travel to Lansing Eastern next Thursday for their finale.
