(October 29, 2020 9:45 AM) Henry Ford Allegiance Health has installed a new COVID-19 Evaluation and Treatment Tent in anticipation of increased patient volumes. The tent was installed on the first floor of the Visitor Parking Deck at the Hospital. Henry Ford Allegiance Health emphasizes that this is NOT a testing site.
During the initial wave of COVID-19 in the spring, a tent was helpful in managing the flow of Emergency Department patients presenting with mild symptoms potentially caused by COVID-19. Reinitiating the same process will aid social distancing during high patient/visitor volumes.
As of Wednesday, October 28, there were 24 persons being treated for COVID-19 as inpatients at HFAH.
Community members who want to be tested for COVID-19 are asked to first call (517) 205-6100 to schedule an appointment. The Drive-Thru COVID-19 Testing Site is located at the Henry Ford Allegiance Specialty Hospital parking lot, 110 N. Elm Avenue, Jackson MI 49202.
