JTV Sports will return with presentations of High School Football later this month. This will be JTV’s 23rd year of consecutive coverage of varsity athletics throughout Jackson County and the surrounding area.
Since JTV began coverage of High School Sports in 2000, nearly 60,000 high school student-athletes have appeared in over 3,500 games telecast on JTV. JTV offers complete game coverage, as well as programs like The Locker Room, Aspen One-Hour Football Show, and other specials. JTV has earned the distinction of being “The World Leader in Local High School Sports Television.”
Each week during the regular and post-season, JTV broadcasts a game live along with a tape-delayed game, with play-by-play and color commentators, instant replays, graphics and several in-game features. Games played throughout the week air Saturday and Sunday in rotation at 1, 3, 7 and 9pm on JTV and JTV.TV.
JTV’s award-winning sports programming includes online video highlights and features throughout the season on JTV.TV. Additional content online includes Orthopedic Rehab Specialist Photo Galleries, which presents over 15,000 photos from high school games and events.
The JTV Sports announcing team includes veterans Joel Freehling, Josh Burgett, Jim Francis, and Pat O’Dowd. Former MHSAA official Dan Gallagher is returning along with David Rice entering his 4th football season with JTV. Other announcers include Larry Jacobson and Matt Lehman. Our other team members include Writer & Photographer Jeff Steers, Photographer Sara Scaife, and Sports Director Noah Baker.
