(11-7-2025, 11:45PM): Friday was a historic night of football for Jackson-area teams still competing in the postseason. Here are the Jackson-area playoff scores:

 

DIVISION 5

Michigan Center 35, Ann Arbor Father Gabriel Richard 18: The Cardinals knock off a Gabriel Richard offense that came into the contest averaging over 50 points per game and ranked #2 in Division 5. MC scored 28 unanswered points in the second half to win its first district title since 2021. QB Hadyn Hinkle went 12/19 with 169 yards passing and 2 TD’s. The top receivers for the Cardinals were Brennan Forward with 4 receptions for 57 yards and 1 TD and Tre Collins with 3 receptions for 81 yards and 1 TD. Braylen Villareal led the Cardinals defense with 10 tackles. Michigan Center travels to Monroe Jefferson next Friday at 7pm for a regional championship.

 

DIVISION 6

Lumen Christi 44, Napoleon 0: The Titans win their 12th consecutive district championship, they also scored on every single offensive possession in the game. Lumen Christi hosts Ida next week for a chance to win their 5th straight regional championship.

 

DIVISION 7

Hanover Horton 20, Bronson 12: With under a minute left in the contest (trailing 12-6), Austyn Hocter threw a long TD pass of almost 70 yards to Kolin Griffiths falling away out of bounds to tie the game at 12 followed by the winning 2-pt conversion. Hocter caught an interception on defense and returned it for a touchdown on the next drive to ice the game for the Comets. Austyn Hocter scored 2 touchdowns on defense and Kolin Griffiths scored a rushing TD for the Comets, Lukas NaDell led the defense with 13 tackles and Adam Ley added 12 stops. Hanover Horton wins its first ever district championship and will host Schoolcraft next Friday for a chance at their first regional title.

 

DIVISION 8

Springport 35, New Lothrop 13: After jumping out to a 13-0 lead early, the Spartans never looked back. Springport won its first ever district championship at home on Friday night. Kayden Woyame led the ground game with 146 rushing yards for the Spartans, QB Gibson Overweg finished with 2 rushing TDs. Easton Merrill, Kolton Woyame, and Dallas Higelmire also each scored a TD. Gavin Lightner led the Spartans defense with 9 tackles and an INT. A battle of two 11-0 teams will take place next Friday night in the regional final as Springport will travel to Thompson Field to face the Hudson Tigers.
