(3-24-2026, 6:00PM): It was a historic season for both boys and girls basketball in our area, with two state champions from Jackson County and both winning it all for the first time in school history. This 2025-26 season was also filled with individual achievements and milestones. Below is the full list of JTV’s 2026 girls basketball honors including the dream team, first team, second team, and honorable mention:

‘Player of the Year’: Kenna Hunt – Sophomore, Lumen Christi HS

This player of the year honor adds to the running list of awards and milestones for the Titans sophomore in just two seasons. Hunt led Lumen Christi to its first girls basketball state championship in school history, and the 59th state title across all sports. Hunt averaged 20 points per game this season and has already surpassed 1,000 career points in just two seasons. She looks to increase her profile for collegiate coaches in the AAU circuit this summer, racking up nearly 15 offers.

 

Dream Team

Reese Lape – Grass Lake, Junior

Rayah Hitt – Parma Western, Senior

Aubree Allen – Parma Western, Senior

Lucy Wrozek – Lumen Christi, Sophomore

Mayrese Vieau – Michigan Center, Sophomore

Reese Lape heads up JTV’s first team for our 2026 honors. Lape had multiple 30-point games this season including 35 points against Parma Western, she is already committed to Grand Valley State University to continue her athletic career after next season.

First Team

Bradie Lehman – Concord

Gabby Gaydosh – Columbia Central

Rennie Huff – Jackson Christian

Mya Viegelahn – Grass Lake

McKynley Gaddy – Michigan Center

Bradie Lehman helped lead Concord to a third straight district title and back-to-back regional titles this season.

Second Team

Molly Soper – Hanover Horton

Cece Barrett – Concord

Rylee Knapp – Columbia Central

Kara Straub – Michigan Center

Adalyn Jarchow – Grass Lake

Molly Soper helped lead the Hanover-Horton Comets this season. Soper was named to the Cascades Conference dream team and surpassed 100 career 3-pointers.

Brooklen Minix – Homer

Cecelia Slat – Columbia Central

Elise Bullock – Grass Lake

Lily Ganton – Lumen Christi

Kolie Brown – Columbia Central

Ruby Boyce – Lumen Christi

Shannon Christner – Northwest

Kialye Harrell – Jackson
