I-94 Ramp to Southbound US-127/West Avenue Closed Beginning Wednesday

(June 21, 2022 4:34 PM) The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will close the westbound I-94 exit ramp to southbound US-127/M-50/West Avenue in Jackson for rebuilding.

This work is part of MDOT’s ongoing $120 million investment to rebuild and widen I-94 near the Airport Road interchange to just west of the east US-127/I-94 interchange in Blackman and Leoni Township. The I-94 project involves upgrading the US-127/M-50 (West Avenue)/I-94 interchange to a diverging diamond interchange, the Elm Road interchange with roundabouts, and the Lansing Avenue bridge over I-94.

The ramp closure will begin at 9 AM on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 with completion scheduled for 5 PM on Wednesday, July 13, 2022.

Traffic will be detoured via northbound US-127/M-50 to the Springport Road interchange, then south along southbound US-127/M-50/West Avenue.

Please follow posted detours. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.
