The 2014 iCreate Poetry Contest Main Event will be held at the Michigan Theatre Wednesday, March 5th at 6:30. iCreate founder John Voelz will be among the dozen or so musicians performing student poetry in song. More than 40 poems have been selected to be turned into songs in themes of perseverance, hope, courage or peace. Admission is free and open to all. Other guests: Jackson Mayor Jason Smith; Cindy Lyons, Jackson Area Career Center; Sue Lovell, Cascades Humane Society “Pet of the Week”; a visit to St. Joseph Parish for the annual Paczki making event.
