The Jackson Anchor Initiative has announced Allan Hooper as the new Executive Director for the organization. Hooper explained on today’s show the Anchor Initiative is led by Jackson’s private sector and is focused on working to continue the transformation of the city’s downtown. The goal is to attract and retain a young talented workforce that will be needed for the future by Jackson area businesses and organizations. Hooper will be retiring from Consumers Energy, where he currently holds the position of State Director for Community Economic Development as well as Public Affairs Manager for Jackson.
