(March 29, 2023 3:06 PM ET) Jackson College announces a series of upcoming events for seniors to get creative and get active.

A Clay Workshop for Seniors is planned for April 13 & 27, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the STEAM Factory on Central Campus. This free ceramics class will be taught by Jackson College ceramics instructor Mark Dehetre. Participants will get an introduction to clay and make a project April 13, then come back to add color or finish their project on April 27. Lunch will be provided. Learn more about a fun sport gaining popularity at a Pickleball Class for Seniors on Saturday, April 15 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon in the Victor Cuiss Fieldhouse on Central Campus. A free demonstration and skill class will be taught by volunteers from the Jackson Pickleball Association. Participants may also check out the College weight room and see what fitness classes are offered.  This class is free for seniors ages 65 and over.
