July 15-18, 1-4 p.m. & July 19, 8-11 p.m.; ages 14-18; all experience levels

(July 2, 2024 5:29 PM ET) High school students may delve into the breathtaking wonders of the cosmos at Jackson College’s upcoming Astronomy Camp.  Ignite your passion for the stars like never before at this four-day, one-night camp July 15-19 at Central Campus.

Learn more about the formation of the universe, stars, our solar system, astronomy across cultures and more. You will engage in hands-on activities like creating a scale model of the solar system, track the phases of the moon, and peer through state-of-the-art telescopes to observe celestial wonders. Students may also visit the College’s new Astronomical Observatory with its high-powered telescope in the evening session, an opportunity to view the skies like never before!
