(August 14, 2023 6:19 PM ET) Jackson College and the City of Jackson continue to offer classes close to downtown at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Center.  Today, the first of two registration sessions was held at the King Center.  Photos by Jeff Steers, JTV.

 Students may attend the next registration session on Monday, August 21 from 5 to 7 PM to get started, where they may apply and learn more about advising, registration and financial aid. 

All students are welcome to enroll, from traditional-aged students recently out of high school to returning adult students. Courses to be offered at the MLK Center in fall semester include:

  • SEM 140 Seminar in Life Pathways, Mondays, 12:30 – 3:56 p.m., 8/28 – 11/21
  • BUA 220 Principles of Management, Tuesdays, 6-8:45 p.m., 10/25 – 12/16
  • ENG 131 Writing Experience, Mondays, 12:30 – 3:15 p.m., 8/28 – 10/16
  • ENG 232 Business & Tech Writing, Wednesdays, 12:30 – 3:15 p.m., 10/25 – 12/16

Students should be prepared with ID/Social Security card and high school and/or college transcript. It is recommended you complete the FAFSA form and visit the student orientation section on the Jackson College site.
