Jackson County Cumulative Report:  645 COVID-19 Positive Cases And 32 Deaths

(July 30, 2020 12:19 PM) The Jackson County Health Department released the COVID-19 positive numbers for Jackson County.  As of 12 PM today, there are 645 positive cases (cumulative), and 32 deaths (cumulative)*.    

There are 14 new cases since yesterday’s report.  The Jackson County Health Department reports the increases this week are the result of large gatherings, people both inside and out, not practicing recommended safety measures (social distancing, wearing of masks, etc.).

Cumulative recovered, as of July 24, 2020:  445**

The Michigan Department of Corrections is reporting as of 8:45 PM Sunday, July 26, there are 1,461 confirmed positive cases at Jackson facilities and 158 confirmed positive staff cases.

As of 9 AM July 29, there are 7 persons at Henry Ford Allegiance Health being treated as inpatients for COVID-19.

*These numbers do not reflect any cases or deaths identified through Michigan Department of Corrections.  Their numbers are listed under a separate category for MDOC cases here:   Michigan Statistics.

**Recovered is defined as the number of persons with a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis who are alive 30 days post-onset (or referral date if onset is not available).
