(September 7, 2020 12:09 PM) The Jackson County Health Department released the COVID-19 positive numbers for Jackson County. As of 12 PM today, there are 855 positive cases (cumulative), and 40 deaths (cumulative)*.
There are 8 new cases and 1 new death since Saturday’s report.

Effective this past weekend, there is a change in the days when numbers are posted by the health department. In keeping with the new schedule stated by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) in this press release, numbers will no longer be posted on Sundays. The cumulative numbers posted on Monday will include the data from Sunday and Monday
The Michigan Department of Corrections is reporting as of 5:30 PM August 28, there are 1,676 confirmed positive cases at Jackson facilities and 158 confirmed positive staff cases. MDOC positive case numbers are cumulative.
As of 8 AM September 3, there are 6 persons at Henry Ford Allegiance Health being treated as inpatients for COVID-19.
The Jackson County Township map and recovery data will be posted each Monday at the same time as the number data.
**Recovered is defined as the number of persons with a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis who are alive 30 days post-onset (or referral date if onset is not available).
