(October 31, 2025 2:15 PM ET) Sheriff Gary R. Schuette today announced the launch of a new Online Reporting System, available through the Sheriff App and at the Sheriff’s website at https://www.mijackson.org/3069/Sheriffs-Office. This convenient tool allows residents to quickly and easily file certain types of reports without needing to call or visit the Sheriff’s Office in person. The goal of the new system is to improve accessibility, reduce wait times, and allow deputies to focus on emergency and in-progress incidents.
Residents can now submit online reports for the following types of incidents: abandoned vehicles, car/deer crashes with $1,000 or less in damage, identity theft, retail fraud, school bus passing violations, suspicious situations, and thefts involving unknown suspects or those not in progress. The online reporting feature provides a simple step-by-step process to ensure accurate documentation while keeping the community connected and informed.
The Sheriff’s Office remains committed to providing efficient, transparent, and community-centered law enforcement services. The new online reporting option enhances public safety by making it easier for citizens to report non-emergency incidents at any time, from anywhere. For more information or to access the system, download the Sheriff App or visit https://www.mijackson.org/3069/Sheriffs-Office.
