Jackson County has announced the launch of a free mobile app for Android and Apple operating systems. The app provides users of mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets, with the ability to access the Jackson County, Michigan web site using a mobile-friendly interface.
Mobile app and website visitors have the ability to subscribe to County news feeds, find bid opportunities, view County calendars and employment opportunities, make online payments, report issues such as pot holes, access County social media feeds, 211 government services and more.
County Administrator Mike Overton said, “Over 50% of the County’s web site visitors utilize mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. The app will provide an easier way to access County information”.
