This Saturday from 9am to 3pm, Jackson High School students will be available to rake, bag and pick up leaves from city residents in exchange for donations to the school’s “Thanksgiving Giving” food drive project.  Organizer Michael Funkhouser and Principal Barbara Baird-Pauli are encouraging residents who would like leaf pickup to call 784-4124 to make a reservation.  Students will accept donations of non-perishable food or cash towards the annual fundraiser.  Other guests:  Jackson Police Chief Matt Heins, Deputy Fire Chief Dave Wooden and Fire Captain Jason Senft;  Jackson Public Schools Superintendent Dan Evans;  Tom Rooney, Rooney’s Sewer, Handyman & Cleaning Service;  Preston Judd, Center State Jackson’s “Scrooge, the Musical” lead actor.  The show opens this Friday at 8pm at the Baughman Theatre, Jackson College.
