Jackson native Dr. Brian Brown (currently an anesthesiologist in Layfayette, IN) was in the stands at the finish line of the Boston Marathon when the bombs exploded.  He assisted the injured and manned the medical tent.  On today’s show, Dr. Grant Brown of Brown’s Advanced Care recounted his brother’s experiences.  Brian Brown’s wife, Libby Riggs (also a Jackson native) was running the marathon and was about 2 miles from the finish at the time of the explosions.  While Brown worked to start IVs and help carry patients out, he saw police officers, Marines and other military people taking down barricades so the wounded could be transferred to ambulances waiting on the perimeter.  Dr. Grant Brown also updated viewers on the latest advances at his pharmacy and tips on coping with the allergy season.
