Coming this July, the City of Jackson Parks and Recreation Department will begin its first ever adult Wiffleball League. Joe Hawley, Recreation Services Coordinator for the Department says the addition is part of a continued effort to expand program offerings to young adults in the area. “Over the past 18 months we have added programs like indoor soccer and dodgeball to appeal to the twenty and thirty-somethings of the community. Adding Wiffleball to our schedule is another opportunity for that generation to relive their childhood in a fun, organized environment.”
Registration for the league is currently taking place and is open to the first 8 teams. Games will be played Friday evenings in Ella Sharp Park beginning July 10th. The deadline to register is July 6th. The cost is $100 per team. For more information, contact Hawley at 517-990-6289 or visit www.cityofjackson.org/133/Adult-Programs.
