(October 15, 2021 9:54 AM) The Jackson School of the Arts held an Open House and Ribbon Cutting event Thursday at their new downtown Jackson location. In January 2021, Jackson School of the Arts purchased the building that was once home to Vermeulen’s Furniture from the City of Jackson. Over the past few months, the 3-story building was renovated into the School’s new campus, with classrooms, labs, studios, performance and study space, offices, and community areas. The relocation to the 135 W. West Cortland St. building gives Jackson School of the Arts greater capacity for providing arts education and provides more opportunities for the community to engage in and interact with the arts and culture.
