Jackson Speedway Reopens; Announces Two Day Show

(June 22, 2021 9:33 PM) Jackson Speedway has announced it has reopened after being closed all of 2020 due to the pandemic.  To celebrate the return of racing, Jackson Speedway will be hosting the 15^th Annual Two Day Show featuring Mini Sprints and Mini Cups on June 25^th and 26^th.  The Speedway announced racers will compete for over $5,000 in prize money and all guests will receive free general admission for the entire 2021 racing season.

John Lefere, owner of Jackson Speedway said, “We are very proud and excited to host the 15^th Annual Two Day Show on the dirt oval. This is a great weekend event for all the race fans in a three state area.  There will be competitors from Indiana, Ohio and Michigan.  All competing in back-to-back nights for some big money prizes and bragging rights.” 

Sponsors for both nights are Bella Notte Ristorante, Liberty Landfill, Pendergrass Concrete and Brite Nitz Litez.

Jackson Speedway never had the opportunity to open for the 2020 season because of COVID-19 restrictions.  Lefere said he is offering race fans free admission for the entire year.  “This is the 20^th year of racing at Jackson Speedway.  The last year and a half has been tough financially on many of the families and businesses in the Jackson area because of the pandemic. All of us at Jackson Speedway want to thank the residents of Jackson, Hillsdale and Lenawee counties that have supported us in the past,” said Lefere.

Jackson Speedway is a state-of-the-art track designed for safe, competitive racing serving Lower Michigan, Northern Indiana and Northern Ohio markets. The lighted 1/4 – mile road course and the 1/5-mile dirt oval are great for beginners and experienced drivers alike. Jackson Speedway features fun and excitement for all ages: go kart, mini sprint and mini cup racing, corporate outings, team building activities, private parties, and charity events.

The weekend of events begin at 6 PM Friday with practice, followed by a full slate of races Friday and Saturday night.
