The Jackson Area Transportation Authority’s Emergency Snow Routes has been activated since 12:45pm today (2/24/2016), until further notice.
It is critical that buses operate safely, due to difficult road conditions, we will detour buses from normal routing on predetermined snow routes. JATA bus routes one (1) through eight (8) will be detoured due to snow and ice conditions. JATA is activating these detours immediately until further notice. Buses will return to normal routing as conditions improve.
Riders who have signed up to our GovDelivery service will immediately be notified when routes return to normal service. Up to date information can be found on our website at jacksontransit.com and riders may sign up for up to date information. JATA urges riders to use caution when walking to your stop, signal the bus so the operator has plenty of time to stop. Please wait until the bus comes to a complete stop and the door opens before approaching the bus.
