JCDOT Announces Road Closures in Summit and Blackman Townships

(July 9, 2020 4:45 PM) The Jackson County Department of Transportation will close Browns Lake Road in Summit Township between Wickwire Road and Edgewood Drive on Friday, July 10 for approximately two weeks.

During this time, contractor RJT will replace the existing short span bridge with a concrete box culvert.

A detour route will be posted and motorist should follow all posted detours and signs.

The Jackson County Department of Transportation will close Cunningham Road between Morrill Road and Lansing Avenue in Blackman Township for the reconstruction of the railroad crossing on Friday, July 10, 2020, weather permitting.

Cunningham Road is scheduled to re-open at the end of the day on Tuesday, July 14, 2020. A detour route will not be posted and motorists should seek alternative routes.
