JTV announced today an expansion of JTV’s availability with the addition of the JTV app to the Amazon Fire TV and the ROKU streaming platforms, making live JTV content and JTV on-demand programming available to millions of Amazon Fire TV and ROKU customers.

Amazon Fire TV and ROKU are two of the most popular streaming software platforms and are available worldwide.   To watch JTV on either platform, subscribers can simply search for “JTV Jackson”  from the welcome screen and add the app to the home screen for easy access.

JTV’s live programming is now available 24/7 on both platforms.  Over the next several weeks on-demand programs will be constantly added from our vast library of current shows, football and basketball games, segments and features.

“JTV is thrilled to add Amazon Fire TV and ROKU to the list of platforms that allows viewers to watch JTV live and on-demand shows,” said Andy Hawley, General Manager of JTV.  “We’re committed to delivering live local programming and rich on-demand content anytime, anywhere and on any platform. The expansion to Amazon Fire TV and ROKU is another step in fulfilling that commitment to our viewers.”

As an added bonus to both viewers and advertisers, commercials and sponsor content will also be included in all programming.  “Our viewers are engaged with our advertisers, interested in seeing what is available from the community’s retailers, restaurants, entertainment venues and service providers.” said Hawley.  “Our commitment to our advertisers includes delivering their messages to our viewers regardless of the platform they are viewing.”   JTV’s advertisers are not being charged any additional fees for the expanded audience.

Viewers in South-Central Michigan can watch JTV on several cable systems, including Comcast in Jackson County on channel 90, AT&T U-Verse in the Lansing-Jackson market on channel 5380 and on WOW! Cable in over 100 communities.

JTV’s programming is also currently available on SmartTVs and on the JTV.TV website.  In addition, over 1,300 JTV programs and features are available for on-demand viewing on Vimeo and the Vimeo channel.

Roku and Amazon Fire are popular streaming software platforms for delivering video, music and casual games to the TV.  Roku and Amazon Fire TV feature the largest collection of entertainment available for streaming and is accessible through Roku and Amazon Fire TV streaming players, devices and TVs.
