(8-27-2025, 5:20PM): Thursday August 28th begins the 26th season of high school football coverage on JTV. Since JTV began covering high school sports in 2000, over 50,000 student-athletes have appeared in over 3,500 games telecasted.
JTV offers complete game coverage each Friday night along with other regularly aired sports programs such as ‘The David Rice Show’, ‘The Locker Room’, and other specials. Each week during the regular season, JTV covers its ‘Game of the Week’ on the air including new visual elements, graphics and in-game features, all a part of its mobile production unit which debuted in the 2024 basketball season.
JTV’s award-winning sports programming includes online video highlights from other games and special features throughout the season on JTV.TV. Additional content online includes the Orthopedic Rehab Specialists Photo Galleries, which presents tens of thousands of photos each school year.
The JTV Sports commentators include veterans such as JTV podcast host David Rice (play-by-play), and Grass Lake graduate and Napoleon softball coach Josh Burgett (Color/Analyst). Maxwell Fritz is returning for his second season as the sideline reporter, and Pat O’Dowd and Dan Gallagher both return as additional color commentators. Matt Kibby will provide fill-in play-by-play commentary on select telecasts, adding to his work with JTV’s hockey and basketball coverage.
JTV is available to watch on Comcast (channel 90), AT&T (5380), WOW! (25, 161), Springcom (9-1), plus streaming on Roku, Amazon Fire Stick, Apple TV, and live on youtube. All Friday night football games will be additionally livestreamed on Facebook.
Week 1 features a 2022 playoff rematch with Jackson at Parma Western to open the year. Week 2 on JTV features Columbia Central at Michigan Center, and Week 3 features defending D5 champ Pontiac Notre Dame visiting the 3x defending D6 champ Lumen Christi.
