Chelsea 4, Grass Lake 2: Grass Lake scored two runs in the sixth inning, but it was not enough to pull out the win. Collin Knight had the only hits for the Warriors in the contest.

Chelsea 5, Grass Lake 3: Chelsea scored twice in the bottom of the sixth inning to break a 3-all tie. Brayden Lape had one hit and knocked in one run for Grass Lake.

Blissfield 15, Hanover-Horton 9: The Comets fell in a non-conference night game at Blissfield. Luke Soper finished with three hits and Adam Ley added two hits and two RBIs for the Comets.

Cardinal Mooney 2, Lumen Christi 0: Gabe King pitched a complete game giving up only three hits and striking out nine batters. Ben Gaston finished with two of the Titans’ three hits in the contest.

Cardinal Mooney 5, Lumen Christi 0: Kash Kalahar and Jack Fitzpatrick each recorded two hits for Lumen Christi.

Girls Tennis

Lumen Christi at Lansing Catholic Quad: Lumen Christi defeated Lansing Christian 5-2 but lost to Lansing Catholic 5-3. Kate Ganton/Lexie Thornhill, Lily Melnick/Maddison Arcaro, and Allison Wheeler/Katelyn Ellis were undefeated on the day at Nos. 1, 2, and 4 doubles, respectively.

College Athletic Events

Baseball

Mott Community College 10, Jackson 1: Jackson could only muster four hits in the opening game of the doubleheader on the road. Henry Major finished with one hit and an RBI in the contest.

Jackson College 10, Mott Community College 1: The Jets secured a share of the MCCAA Eastern Division with Macomb Community College with the win. Jackson will advance to the Region XII tournament next week in a yet-to-be-determined location. Nathan Tappenden and Lucas Dawson combined to hold MCC to two hits while striking out seven batters. Max Bowers had two hits and knocked in three runs for JC. Mitchell Smith finished with three RBIs and Henry Major and Caden Oliver each recorded two hits for the Jets. Jackson finishes the regular season with a 28-19 overall record, 20-5 in the MCCAA.

Softball

Jackson College 7, Glen Oaks 6: Jackson College scored three times in the bottom of the seventh inning to pull out the home contest. Brooke Owen knocked in the winning run for JC. She finished with one hit and two RBIs in the contest. Addison Bobbio, Lauren Keller, and Carmyn MacKenzie each recorded one hit and an RBI for Jackson.

Jackson College 4, Glen Oaks 1:  Jackson College secured a position in the Region 12 Tournament with the win. Opponents, times, and dates have yet to be determined for the regional tournament. Rayannah Burke earned the win with a complete game two-hitter that included six strikeouts. Karson Fairbanks finished with two RBIs and Brooke Owen added two hits for Jackson. The Jets finished the regular season with a 20-18 overall record, 16-14 in MCCAA action.
