Lumen Christi 8, Clinton 2: Nathan Hinkley had a pair of hits and knocked in three runs for the Titans. Paul Sattler finished with three hits and Gabe King earned the pitching win striking out six batters over four innings.

Concord 12, East Jackson 1: Concord scored 11 runs in the first three innings of the game. East Jackson was limited to one hit in five innings.

Concord 7, East Jackson 2: Concord start the season at 2-0 while East Jackson falls to 0-4. Dustin Poole had two hits for the Trojans in the road game.

Softball

Saline 10, Northwest 0: Ava Golightly went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Northwest.

Saline 13, Northwest 2: Northwest was led by Ava Golightly with two hits and Addi Moore with one hit and an RBI.

Dexter 19, Western 2: Abby Nieswender hit a home run and knocked in both runs for Western.

Dexter 12, Western 11: The Panther scored two runs in the bottom of the fifth inning but ran out of daylight at home Friday. Abby Nieswender hit another home run and knocked in five runs for Western. Peyton Budd finished with two hits and two RBIs for the Panthers.

Concord 16, East Jackson 5: Madisyn Barrett collected three hits and knocked in three runs for Concord in the win. Cieara Barrett finished with two hits and three RBIs for the Yellowjackets. Rayann Reeser tallied two RBIs for East Jackson.

Concord 8, East Jackson 7: The Yellowjackets won the five-inning game at home Friday. Marissa Mandrelle had one of the three hits for Concord and knocked in two runs. Emily Uyttenhove, Rayanne Reeser, Addison Hendricks, and Elexas Crocker each collected hits for East Jackson (0-4).

Girls Soccer

Lumen Christi 5, Clinton 0: The Titans opened the season with a win Thursday at Clinton.

Olivet 8, Springport 0: The Spartans are now 1-1 on the season.

Columbia Central 5, Lumen Christi 3: Columbia Central won three of the four singles events with wins by Morgan Fausz at No. 2 singles, a forfeit win by CCHS at No. 3, and a win by Lily Ellison at No. 4 singles. Olivia Eaker won the No. 1 singles for LCCHS with a 6-1 and 6-1 win. The two teams split doubles 2-2.

College Athletic Events

Baseball

Spring Arbor 16, Grace 5: Aiden Brunin, Bryce Richey, Connor Dee, and Ryan Gonzales each knock in a pair of runs for Spring Arbor.

Spring Arbor 14, Grace 3: Aiden Brunin hit a home run and knocked in four runs for the Cougars in the win. Bryce Richey and Zach Adams each finished with two hits and three RBIs for Spring Arbor (13-20).

Softball

Spring Arbor 2, Bethel 0: Emmalee Hamp gave up only three hits and struck out nine batters on the mound for SAU.

Spring Arbor 7, Bethel 6: The Cougars scored three runs in the last three innings to pull out the victory. SAU was led by Emmalee Hamp with four hits and Summer Ambler added three hits. The Cougars are now 18-11 overall for the season.

Kalamazoo Valley 7, Jackson College 3: The Jets could only muster five hits in the contest. Sydney Schuler finished with a pair of hits for Jackson College. The Jets are now 10-9 overall and 6-5 in the Michigan Community College Athletic Association.

Jackson College 8, Kalamazoo Valley 3: Brooke Owen had a monster game with four hits and three RBIs in the win for JC. Sydney Schuler finished with two hits and two RBIs for the Jets. JC pitcher Rayannah Burke earned the pitching win with six strikeouts in seven innings pitched. The Jets will travel to Lansing Community College Saturday for a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
