Grass Lake 15, Stockbridge 3: The Warriors finally had a chance to kick off the season with two big wins. Jacob Collins finished with three hits and three RBIs and Jack Reid added three hits and one RBI. Walker McKibbin and Collin Knight combined for a four-hitter for Grass Lake.
Grass Lake 22, Stockbridge 2: Leadoff hitter Avin Sandoval finished with three hits and three RBIs leading the Warriors’ 14 hit attack. Jacob Collins and Luke Guthrie also knocked in three hits for Grass Lake (2-0). Max Schafran pitched the three inning giving up only two hits and striking out seven batters.
Olivet 6, Hanover-Horton 2: The Comets could only muster three hits in the loss.
Hanover-Horton 8, Olivet 1: Hanover-Horton gained a split with a solid pitching performance by Jack Wooster. The HHHS pitcher gave up only four hits in 6.2 innings. Luke Soper and Cameron Sherwood each recorded two hits and a pair of RBIs for Hanover-Horton (2-2).
Softball
Grass Lake 17, Stockbridge 0: Bree Salts finished with four hits and knocked in three runs for Grass Lake. Rylee Fitzpatrick, Emily Brown, and Olivia Turner all finished with three hits in the contest. Sophomore Morgan Conrad struck out eight batters in four innings on the mound for Grass Lake.
Grass Lake 17, Stockbridge 0: Emily Brown hit a home run and knocked in three runs as the Warriors completed the sweep with identical scores. Rylee Fitzpatrick tallied three hits and Bree Salts and Morgan Conrad each collected two hits for Grass Lake.
Hanover-Horton 17, Olivet 1: Alexis Flint pitched a one-hitter and struck out five batters in the process. She also knocked in four runs at the plate for Hanover-Horton. Alexyn DuBois, Dani Riggs, and Katie Stroede each recorded two hits for the Comets.
Hanover-Horton 11, Olivet 0: The Comets completed the sweep as Alexyn DuBois finished with three hits and two RBIs in the process.

Northwest 15, Lumen Christi 0: The Mounties pounded 16 hits in three innings against Lumen Christi. Campbell Kloack finished with three hits knocking in four runs in the process. Lucy Bivens earned the pitching win for NWHS with five strikeouts. Lumen Christi was limited to two hits in the contest – one each by Ava Cumberworth and Bella Wrozek.
Northwest 21, Lumen Christi 2: The Mounties wasted little time in putting the Titans in a hole with 19 runs in the first inning. Ava Golightly, Izzy Rogers and Ari Good combined for eight hits and 10 RBIs for Northwest. Mallory Arcaro had one hit and an RBI for LCCHS.
Whitmore Lake 20, Vandercook Lake 15
Boys Track and Field

Napoleon Tri-Meet: Napoleon defeated Jonesville 117-10 and Columbia Central 101-36. The Golden Eagles defeated Jonesville 76-18 in what was named the Wesco Eclipse Rivalry Meet at Napoleon. DeVonta Habern tied a Napoleon school record with a leap of 6-6 in the high jump. Holden Van Poppel won the 200-meter dash (23.0), the 110-meter hurdles (15.4), and the long jump (20-10). Jack Gorton of CCHS won the 3,200-meter run in 12:13.
Concord Tri-Meet: Mekhi Wingfield won the 100-meter dash (11.55 seconds), the high jump (6-0), and the long jump 21-6.25 for Concord. Eli Dyer won the 110-meter hurdles (15.78) and the 300-meter hurdles (42.24) for Springport. Noah Blondke won the 1,600-meter run (5:20) for Jackson Prep.

Jackson 82, Ypsilanti 46: Kyson Cooper won three individual events for Jackson taking first in the 100-meter dash (11.03 seconds), the 200-meter dash (23.18), and the 300-meter hurdles (45.20).
Girls Track and Field
Napoleon Tri-Meet: The host team defeated Columbia Central 108-19 and Jonesville 105-12. Columbia Central defeated Jonesville 43-18 at NHS Monday afternoon. Alexa Burgess won the 100-meter dash (13.1 second) and the 200-meter dash (28.7) for Napoleon. Columbia Central was led by Melyssa McJennett won the 100-meter hurdles (17.9) and the 300-meter hurdles (54.7).
Concord Tri-Meet: Hope Overweg won the shot put (31-9) and the discus (107-8) for Springport. Marissa Mandrelle won the 100-meter hurdles (20.32), the 300-meter hurdles (1:02), and the long jump (14-1) for Concord.

Ypsilanti 84, Jackson 39: Jackson swept the 100-meter dash with Shania Mohead won the event (13.05), teammate Kialye Harrell was second (13.45), and Kenadi Blake placed third (13.66) for the Vikings.

Hanover-Horton 4, Jackson Christian 3: The Comets won a road contest at Jackson Christian.

Leslie 2, Northwest 0: The Mounties were shut out at home Monday night.
Boys Lacrosse

Holt 8, Jackson 6: Jack Whyte and Luke Bergkoetter each scored a hat trick for Jackson in the team’s first home contest. Goalie Hikura Matzen made 17 saves for Jackson (1-1). Jackson United – with players from Jackson, Lumen Christi, Western, Northwest, and Michigan Center – out scored Holt 4-1 in the final quarter.

Spring Arbor 10, Goshen 6: The Cougars scored all 10 runs in the first four innings of the contest. Emmalee Hamp and Brooke Meeker each finished with three hits for SAU.
Goshen 5, Spring Arbor 3: Goshen scored four times in the final two innings to pull out the victory. Emmalee Hamp tallied three hits and Maddy Thrush finished with two hits and two RBIs for SAU (23-12).
