Lumen Christi Tri-Meet: Coldwater High School defeated Michigan Center and Lumen Christi in straight sets, 2-0.
Boys Soccer
Michigan Center 2, Grass Lake 1: Grass Lake scored on penalty kick in the first half taking a 1-0 lead. Kadin Stiles scored the tying goal early in the second half. Brady Howard headed in the game winner on an assist from Spencer Berkeypile. Henry Wright finished with five saves – the best was the last to preserve the win for Michigan Center.
Jackson 6, Adrian 2: The Vikings earned a home win Monday against Adrian.
Northwest 3, Stockbridge 0: The Mounties were on the right side of a shutout earning a win on the road Monday. Thomas Fall, Bryson Cooper, and Caiden Christner scored goals for the Mounties. Lucas Rattell tallied his third shutout of the season.
Dexter 6, Western 0: The Panthers fell on the road and are now 0-4 on the season.
Columbia Central 7, Jonesville 0: The Golden Eagles scored four times in the first 15 minutes of action in the home contest. Derek Sanders scored two of those goals for CCHS. Andrew Hosmer and Carter Simpson each scored two goals and Eli Hawley scored one goal for CCHS. The Golden Eagles are now 3-1-1 on the season.
Boys Tennis
Columbia Central 6, Hillsdale 2: CCHS earned singles wins by Gabe Wilson, Jason Gonerka, and Parker Gough at Nos. 1, 2, and 4, respectively. Doubles wins were by Tucker Hills/Evan DeOss, Nolan Denney/Landon Lorenz, and Carson Luppo/Hunter Herzberg. It was the Golden Eagles first match of the season.
