Western 68, Columbia Central 39: The Panthers earned a non-conference win at home Tuesday night.
Jackson Christian 41, Pittsford 37: Isaac Lanham scored 18 points and pulled down seven rebounds in the win. J.D. Locke added eight points for the Royals.
Jackson 53, Tecumseh 49 (2OT): The Vikings improved to 13-8 and 5-5 in the Southeastern Conference with the win.
Michigan Center 60, Springport 45: The Cardinals used a 22-11 run in the second quarter to pull out the win. Hunter Clemons led MCHS with 15 points, Tre Collins added 12 points, and Hadyn Hinkle scored 10 points. Marshall Shoemaker finished with nine points and six rebounds for Springport.
Northwest 65, Marshall 51: Duncan Moffitt scored 25 points to lead four scorers in double digits for NWHS. Jalen Jordan scored 17 points, Drew Maples added 11 points, and Josh Jordan tallied 10 points for the Mounties.
Niles Brandywine 52, Lumen Christi 50: The Titans fell at Kalamazoo College in non-conference action on Tuesday night.
Girls Basketball
Columbia Central 69, Addison 35: The Golden Eagles were led by Hailey Freshcorn with 30 points. Cece Slat finished with 14 points and Abby Keller added 12 points for CCHS.
Grass Lake 58, East Jackson 17: The Warriors earned a win on the road in the Cascades Conference.
Hanover-Horton 41, Homer 38: Molly Soper scored 10 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead Hanover-Horton to the victory. Morgan Kuhl added eight points and 10 rebounds for the Comets.
Lumen Christi 35, St. Catherine 27: The Titans advance in the Catholic High School League Tournament with the victory.
Michigan Center 70, Napoleon 38: Hailey Mees scored 17 points and created seven steals to lead the Cardinals. McKynley Gaddy scored 12 points and Aaralyn Tripp scored nine points and pulled down nine rebounds for Michigan Center (17-3).
Northwest 56, Marshall 41: The Mounties won an outright Interstate-Eight Conference title with the victory. Northwest used an 18-2 second quarter advantage to extend the lead. Ashley Weller scored 20 points and Mara Mitchell finished with 12 points for NWHS. The school celebrated the two as part of senior night. Brooke Grant also scored 12 points and Lucy Bivens added six points for the Mounties (16-3).
Springport 58, Bronson 51: The Spartans kept pace with Concord in the Big Eight Conference with the overtime victory. “For us to come down here, be down most of the game, and be able to pull off a win in overtime against a great team is just amazing,” Springport Coach Rick Saldana said. Maddux Locke scored 33 points, dished seven assists, and created seven steals to lead Springport. Rylee Siefert finished with nine points and 16 rebounds for SHS.
Bowling
Western 28, Eaton Rapids 2: Buster Marr finished with a 243 game to lead Western. Nolan Woodworth rolled a 192 game and Reed Vallie added a 185 game for the Panthers.
Girls Bowling
Eaton Rapids 26, Western 4: Madason McDonald finished with a 156 game for Western.
Hockey
D1 Regional Jackson United 3, DeWitt 2: Jackson United scored three times in the second period to pull out the win. Goals were scored by Aiden Chappell, Brennan Forward, and Peyton Paquin. Jackson United advances to play Okemos next Monday at 7 p.m. at Munn Ice Arena on the campus of Michigan State University.
