Boys District Basketball

Division 1 at Ann Arbor Huron

Northwest 57, Dexter 51: The Mounties advance in the district tournament with a win Monday night. Northwest (12-11) faces Ann Arbor Huron (17-4) in the district semifinal Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at AAH.

Skyline 42, Jackson 37: The Vikings finish the season with a 13-10 record following the loss in the opening round of the Division 1 district at Ann Arbor Huron. Koronnis Davis scored 14 points and Darrien Well and Sherquan Wilson each scored nine points for Jackson.

Division 2 at Western High School

Tecumseh 50, Columbia Central 45: Nolan Schiel and Derek Sanders each scored 10 points for CCHS. The Golden Eagles finish the season with a 14-9 record while Tecumseh advances to play Adrian Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in the district semifinal at Western High School.

Western 52, Adrian Madison 40: Gibson French scored 13 points and pulled down 11 rebounds for the Panthers. Maverick Hammon finished with 16 points for Western (17-6). The Panthers face Onsted (17-5) in the district semifinal Wednesday at home beginning at approximately 7 p.m.

Division 3 at East Jackson High School

Michigan Center 62, East Jackson 39: The Cardinals jumped out to a 17-2 lead in the first quarter of the district game at EJHS. MCHS enjoyed balanced scoring as Jayden Watson scored 14 points and pulled down nine rebounds, and Hadyn Hinkle and Travis Collins each scored a dozen points for Michigan Center (20-3). The Cardinals face Lumen Christi 18-4 Wednesday at East Jackson High School in the district semifinal beginning at approximately 7 p.m. Napoleon (19-3) faces Springport (15-7) in the first game of the district semifinal at EJHS at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Division 3 at Ypsilanti Arbor Prep

Grass Lake 43, Whitmore Lake 31: Junior Brayden Lape scored 35 of the Warriors’ 43 points in the district win at Ypsilanti Arbor Prep. Lape shot 13-for-22 from the field, grabbed seven rebounds, and created three steals for Grass Lake (11-12). The Warriors face Ann Arbor Greenhills (13-8) in the district semifinal Wednesday beginning at 5:30 p.m. Manchester (5-18) battles Ann Abor Prep (11-11) in the other semifinal beginning at approximately 7 p.m.

Division 4 at Waldron High School

Vandercook Lake 73, Jackson Prep 45: The Jayhawks exploded for 73 points in the district opener at Waldron High School. Vandercook Lake (4-19) advances to play Waldron (12-10) in the district semifinal Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.

Jackson Christian 49, North Adams-Jerome 33: Isaac Lanham scored 25 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for the Royals. Jackson Christian (12-11) now faces Pittsford (13-9) in the district semifinal at WHS Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.

Girls Basketball

Hanover-Horton 48, Quincy 37: Maggie Soper scored 15 points and Morgan Kuhl added 14 points for the Comets. Amanda Ley finished with 11 rebounds for Hanover-Horton.

Hockey Regionals

Eastside 1, Jackson 0 (OT): Jackson United fell 1-0 in overtime in the Division 1 regional at Munn Ice Arena on the campus of Michigan State University. JU finishes the season with a 10-16 record.

College Athletic Events

Baseball

Jackson College 15, SAU JV 0: Marcus Patton hit a home run and knocked in two runs for Jackson College in the home win. Jared Kramp and Gabe Jones each finished with a pair of hits for JC. Jets pitchers combined for 11 strikeouts in the home contest.
