Volleyball

Blissfield 3, Columbia Central 1: The Golden Eagles celebrated senior night highlighting Allie Choate and Blythe McLain. Mara Henry finished with 17 kills and 14 digs, Alison Richardson tallied 23 assists and Choate finished with six kills for CCHS (12-13-2, 6-4 Cascades).

Bronson 3, Western 2: The Panthers fell on the road in volleyball action Thursday.

Boys Cross Country

Jackson at SEC Finals: Jackson High School finished fifth in the SEC finals at Dexter. Hollis Mick finished fifth (17:17) and Bryson White was 10th (17:43) for the Vikings. For complete results go to  www.athletic.net/CrossCountry/meet/238232/info.

I-8 Championship at Hastings: Western High School finished third and Northwest sixth at the Interstate-8 Conference championship. Edison Lopeman of Western finished third (16:12) and Ryan Good was eighth (17:20) for the Panthers. Drew Clingerman placed 16th (18:24) for Northwest. Girls Cross Country

Jackson at SEC Finals: Jackson finished sixth in the Southeastern Conference final as Grace Brown took 10th place (21:16).

I-8 Championship at Hastings: Western High School won the event with 51 points placing all five runners in the top 14 in the 5K event at Hastings. Chloe Khon of Northwest finished third overall (20:46), and Bertha Quiroga finished eighth (21:22) and Marina Walz was 10th (22:01) for Western.
