Women’s Basketball
NAIA National Championship Tournament
Spring Arbor 81, Langston 78: The Cougars jumped out to a 24-13 lead in the first quarter of the NAIA National Championship Tournament at Sioux City, Iowa. Alana Nelson, Alex Long, and Alize Tripp did most of the damage. Nelson tallied 28 points, Long 23 points, and Tripp scored 19 points for SAU (24-7). The Cougars will play in the second round at 7 p.m. Saturday at Sioux City.
Baseball

Jackson College 10, Concordia 3: Harry Major had two hits and knocked in three runs and Jared Kramp went 3-for-5 for the Jets. Jamil Ramsey and Logan Christophel had multiple hits for Jackson College.
Concordia 8, Jackson College 2: Michael Smith had two of the Jets’ three hits in the game. JC is now 8-10 overall on the season. The Jets travel to Macomb Community College next Tuesday at 2 p.m. for a 9-inning game.
Marian 6, Spring Arbor 5: Aiden Brunin finished with two hits and three RBIs for SAU.
Marian 15, Spring Arbor 14: The Cougars scored five times in the final inning but fell short in a wild one in Indy. Bryce Richey and Ryan Gonzalez each recorded three hits in the game for SAU.
Softball
Bethel 2, Spring Arbor 1: Maddy Thrush and Elena Jones each recorded a pair of hits for SAU in the loss. Jones scattered two hits in seven innings on the mound for Spring Arbor.
Spring Arbor 9, Bethel 4: Grace Lentz finished with two hits and two RBIs and Emmalee Hamp tallied three hits for SAU. The Cougars are 10-7 overall for the season.
