Women’s Basketball

Dordt 87, Spring Arbor 67: The Cougars fell in the second round of NAIA National Tournament Saturday night. SAU finished the season with a 24-8 record. Sydney Aunins finished with 12 points and Alex Long scored 11 points for Spring Arbor. 

Baseball

Marian 5, Spring Arbor 4: Braydon Gregory finished with three hits and Ben Redfield, Ryan Gonzalez, and Jake Spedoske all collected two hits for SAU. 

Marian 11, Spring Arbor 8: Ben Redfield collected three hits and Aiden Brunin and Bryce Richey each finished with two hits for Spring Arbor. The Cougars are now 7-15 overall, 2-9 in the Crossroads League. 

Softball

Spring Arbor 6, Grace College 1: The Cougars scored four times in the fourth inning at home Saturday. Pitcher Emmalee Hamp finished with three hits at the plate with two RBIs. She pitched all seven innings and struck out seven batters for SAU. 

Spring Arbor 3, Grace College 2: The Cougars completed the sweep with a one-run win in game two. SAU scored all three runs in the first inning and held on for the home win. Elena Jones knocked in two runs and Elaina Walker had a pair of hits for Spring Arbor. Jones earned the pitching win giving up five hits and two runs in six innings for SAU (12-7 overall, 4-2 CL).
