Softball

Spring Arbor 7, Mt. Vernon 2: SAU scored six times in the fifth inning breaking open a close game. Key hits were a two-run single by Grace Lentz and a home run by Brooke Meeker. Emmalee Hamp scattered five hits earning the win on the mound for SAU.

Mt. Vernon 4, Spring Arbor 0: Emmalee Hamp recorded the only two hits for Spring Arbor in the loss.

Jackson College 9, Kalamazoo Valley 8: Carmyn Mackenzie singled in the winning run for JC in the road win. The Jets scored five times in the second inning including a two-run double by Brooke Owen. Sydney Schuler hit a home run in the sixth inning scoring two runs. Addison Bobbio and Mackenzie each recorded three hits for JC. The Jets (5-6 overall) host Lake Michigan College Tuesday with a doubleheader scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.

Baseball

Spring Arbor 17, Goshen 9: The Cougars scored 16 runs in the final five innings of the game. Bryce Richey finished with four RBIs and Connor Dee added three RBIs for SAU.

Spring Arbor 16, Goshen 4: The Cougars continued the bashing taking a doubleheader from Goshen. Aiden Brunin finished with four hits and four RBIs for SAU.

Jackson College 7, Henry Ford 3: Max Bowers collected three hits leading JC to the road win. Jared Kramp, Harry Major, Marcus Patton, and Hayden Lowe each collected multiple hits for Jackson. Logan Christophel and Bowers each drove in two runs for the Jets. Nathan Tappenden earned the win giving up four hits in 5.1 innings. JC improved to 10-11 overall on the season and will host Schoolcraft College for a 9-inning game Thursday beginning at 2 p.m.
