MSU Invitational: Lumen Christi won the event (50 points) and Hanover-Horton was third in the Divisions 3 and 4 race. Isaiah Dinverno won the event for LCCHS with a time of 16:09 and Landen Boulis of Hanover-Horton was fourth in 16:43. Grass Lake finished 14th as a team and Napoleon 26th. Girls Cross Country
MSU Invitational: The Titans swept the Division 3 and 4 competitions winning the girls’ race. Grass Lake finished third, Hanover-Horton was 12th, and Napoleon was 18th. Samantha Schroeder of Lumen Christi won the event (19:26) and teammate Layla Lopez (20:32) was third. Adalyn Jarchow of Grass Lake finished 15th (21:12) and Maisey Toteff of Hanover-Horton was 16th (21:14). Jackson finished 21st in the girls’ D-1 race as Grace Brown finished 25th in 21:35. Boys Soccer
Grass Lake 3, Jackson Christian 1: The Warriors gave Jackson Christian its first loss of the season. Brogan Salow and Zander Stormont scored first-half goals for Grass Lake. J.D. Locke scored the only goal for Jackson Christian (9-1).
Lansing Catholic 5, Western 3: The Panthers took three-of-four doubles matches. Winners included Morgan Devine/Dylan Rogers at No. 1 doubles; the No. 2 doubles team of Jack Mannor/Bailee Porter; and Connor Chilson/Alex Davis at No. 3 doubles.
College Athletic Events
Cross Country
Jackson College at Raider-Knight: Nathan Blondke finished 83rd overall in 31 minutes 19 seconds in the 8K race. Brother Noah Blondke was 91st (33:21) and Jacob Norman placed 94th (33:48) for Jackson College in the men’s race. In the women’s race, Jessica Furman of JC placed 92nd with a time of 24:40, Sheilyn Rayas finished 102nd in 28:34, and Sara Hoop ran 30:08 for 105th place.
Spring Arbor at Spartan Invitational: Spring Arbor University finished fourth in the men’s 8K race. Glen Davis (25:53) and Dean Reynolds (25:55) finished 33rd and 34th, respectively for SAU. The Cougars finished eighth in the women’s 6K event. Cylee Elkins placed 70th with a time of 24:29.
