(August 23, 2026 12:22 PM ET) JTV Sports begins its 27th season of High School Sports telecasts this Friday, with the Western Panthers traveling to Jackson High School to take on the Jackson Vikings in varsity football live at 6:45 PM.
In addition to the live game telecast, JTV photo and video crews will be covering a half dozen other football games with highlights and photo galleries Thursday and Friday.
JTV Sports is the World Leader in Local High School Sports Coverage. Each year, JTV presents live full-production game telecasts of football, hockey, basketball, baseball and softball. In addition, JTV coverage includes over 800 photo galleries, video highlights, features, interviews, stories and weekly shows showcasing Jackson County’s student-athletes.
The state-of-the-art sports broadcasting system and mobile production unit created by JTV received several upgrades to further our ability to deliver high-quality live coverage, enriching the viewing experience for sports enthusiasts. JTV upgraded hardware, cameras, switching and replay system, expanding camera capabilities to 7 to 9 positions. The network can now incorporate additional features like booth cams, bird’s-eye views, sideline reporters, improved graphics, instant replays, and live scoring. The upgraded coms system facilitates improved communication, and real-time video playback in the booth enhances on-air talent analysis.
The coverage would not be possible without the many local community businesses and title sponsor M&K Jetting and Televising Inc. and Minuteman Sewer and Drain Cleaning, presenting the live telecasts.
This fall, JTV Sports will also be covering Golf, Cross Country, Tennis, Swim & Dive, Soccer, Volleyball, Cheerleading and Bands on JTV and JTV.TV. Our sports and school communities will be showcased on The Locker Room, The David Rice Show, Varsity Voices, American Title Scholar-Athlete of the Week, the Orthopaedic Rehab Specialists Photo Galleries, JTV Sports Vault and throughout JTV’s regular programming. Fall 2026 includes increased coverage via partnerships with Northwest Community Schools and Jackson Public Schools.
