Tecumseh Center for the Arts presents local comedian, Steve Smargon on Thursday, July 23 at 7:00 pm, as the second performance in the Black Box Summer Series. Steve was the winner of the Tecumseh Center for the Arts’ “So You Think You’re Funny?” Comedy Open Mic Night and will be joining local comedians Khurum Sheikh and Mike Neubecker during this jovial night of jokes and jests.

Steve has been performing stand-up for seven years, and has opened for Michael Winslow, Police Academy and recently headlined for a Veterans Day show, at the Michigan Theater in Jackson, Michigan.  Steve is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, performs in clubs and colleges all across the country and is known in the comedy universe as, “The Bipolar Marine.” Steve also opened for TCA’s recent comedy show featuring, Jeff Caldwell this past January.

A night of laughter, fun and friends await you at the Tecumseh Center for the Arts. Ticket will be selling fast for this performance, so get them while you can. Closing out the Black Box Summer Series season will be Red Tail Ring on Thursday, July 23rd at 7:00 pm. This Americana music is an elegant blend of string and vocal harmonies. Since their 2011 debut double-album, Red Tail Ring has played 130 shows a year with tours to both U.S. coasts and performances in Denmark and Germany.
