(August 6, 2022 10:48 PM) Soon-to-be Jackson College student Peyton Lowder used her pageant experience to win the Miss Jackson Crossroads scholarship pageant at Western High School on Saturday.

Lowder was the Miss Jackson Crossroads Outstanding Teen in 2017 and earned four more titles since. 

She was named the Miss Jackson Crossroads winner on Saturday and will represent Jackson in the Miss Michigan in June 0f 2023.

Lowder sang opera for her talent and will use her title to bring attention to her social impact initiative of Eating Disorder Education Network. 

She earned a $2,000 educational scholarship by winning the title.

Jade Sayles of Jackson was named as the runner-up for Miss Jackson Crossroads, earning a $750 educational scholarship.

Kenadie Mlujeak earned the Miss Jackson Crossroads Outstanding Teen title and Marilyn Powell was the runner-up in the scholarship pageant.
