Jackson, Michigan — Lumen Christi Alum Erin Kalahar has been voted to the 2018 Horizon League Volleyball All-Academic Team. Two Youngstown State juniors, Aleah Hughes and Erin Kalahar were selected to the 2018 All-Academic Team, the conference announced on Tuesday.
This is the second time in program history that YSU has had two honorees on the volleyball academic all-conference team.
Kalahar ranked fourth for the Penguins in both kills and blocks per set as a junior. The Jackson, native posted 1.56 kills per set for the year, and she finished the campaign averaging 1.85 kills on a .252 attack percentage over the final eight matches.
Kalahar is a business administration major who carries a perfect 4.0 GPA.
Hughes and Kalahar were two of 18 student-athletes who were honored in the balloting.
