Cody Lysher shot a 3-under-par 68 at Sharp Park Golf Course during qualifying for the Lyle Ambs Tournament.

(June 18, 2022 4:25 PM) Cody Lysher shot a 3-under-par 68 at Sharp Park Golf Course to earn medalist honors at the annual Lyle Ambs Memorial Golf Tournament.

Lysher will be joined by defending champion Scott Denig and 14 other golfers in the championship flight with match-play rounds starting next Saturday morning.

John Tarpley shot a 2-under-par 69, and J.T. Pickering and Mike Raymond shot 1-under-par 71s.

Pete Walz finished with a 73; Chris Chaney, Mike Boldt, Zach Boorom and Tim Pickering shot 74s; Conor Spencer, John Gaston, and Colin O’Connell finished with 75s; Cannon Risner shot a 76; and Brian Strickrodt and Doug Bevan grabbed the final two championship flight spots with 77s.

Two rounds will be played on Saturday and the semifinals and finals are scheduled for next Sunday. 

Golfers Bryan Marvin (78); Brady Applegate and Justin Bunch (79); Nick Henman (82); Ray Hill (84); Matt Brown (85); and Patrick Dwyer (86) will make up the first flight in the annual tournament at Sharp Park.
