(June 6, 2020 3:24 PM) Beginning Monday, June 8, the Jackson County Department of Transportation will be performing construction work to improve surface water drainage along the north lane of M-50 between Murray Road and Rives Junction Road.

Improvements involve installation of new storm sewer inlets and culverts. This will involve closure of the north lane during work hours, with one-lane traffic regulated through the area using temporary traffic signals.

In addition to the daily lane closure, the intersection of Murray and Walcott Roads at M-50 will be closed to traffic during each work day. Temporary traffic signals and signs will guide motorists safely through the work zone, and all areas will re-open to traffic at the end of each work day.

Depending on weather conditions, the project is expected to conclude by Friday, June 12.
