Maddalena, Coutu Lead Senior Golf Championship

(July 25, 2020 3:30 PM) Jim Coutu and Steve Maddalena lead the Joe Fiero Memorial City Senior Golf Championship after one round at Ella Sharp Park Golf Course.

The duo shot 4-under-par 67s on Saturday on a picture-perfect day for playing golf.

Five players shot par or better during the first round on Saturday in the championship flight.

The 36-hole medal play tournament will conclude on Sunday with the second round starting at 8 a.m.

The leaders tee off at approximately 8:56 a.m.

Todd Marston and Mark Kurzynowski are two shots behind following rounds of 69.

Mike Raymond shot an even-par 71.

Players in the championship flight played the blue tees and the 60-plus flight play the yellow tees.

Jerry Lefere leads the 60-plus flight with a 73 on Saturday.

Jerry Fitzpatrick is second with a 74 and Thom Markiewicz is third following a 75.
