Maddalena Has One Shot Lead at Senior Open

(July 13, 2024 6:43 PM ET) Steve Maddalena will take a one shot lead to the second round Sunday in the Jackson County Senior Open Tournament at Cascades Golf Course.

Maddalena shot a 2-under-par 70 on Saturday edging Todd Marston by one shot in the opening round. Maddalena, Marston (71) and Mike Brockie (72) were the only three golfers to match or better par at Cascades.

Chad Risner, Mike Raymond, and Larry Sexton are four shot behind Maddalena following 74s and Pete Walz and Paul Varner shot 76s.

Jim Clark has a one shot lead in the first flight – golfers aged 60-69 – following a 76, Nate Lazebnik finished with a 77, and Ray Hill shot 80.

Roger Kuhl shot a 76 and Dave Calderone carded a 78 to lead the second flight – for golfers 70 and older.
