(July 23, 2022 5:41 PM) Local golfer Steve Maddalena may be one round away from completing a golf trifecta.
Maddalena leads the Joe Fiero City Senior Golf Championship by two strokes after shooting a 4-under-par 67 on Saturday at Ella Sharp Park Golf Course.
In the past two weeks, he has won the County Senior Open and County Open at Cascades Golf Course.
Greg Zeller is two strokes back at the City Senior Open after shooting a 1-under-par 69 and Jim Coutu shot a 1-under par 70 in the 50-59 age bracket.
Mike Raymond finished with a 72, Tim Pickering shot 73, and Paul Varner carded a 75 in the championship division.
Harold West shot an even-par 71 to lead the 60-69 age bracket. Dave Calderone is one shot back after shooting a 72, and Nathan LaZebnik is four shots behind with a 75 on Saturday.
Play concludes on Sunday with 18 holes at Sharp Park Golf Course.
