MDOT Announces Multiple I-94 Bridge Closures in Jackson County

(June 4, 2024 5:48 PM ET) The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has begun multiple bridge closures in Jackson County to perform maintenance:

• The I-94/Dearing Road interchange and Dearing Road bridge over I-94,
• The M-99 bridge over I-94,
• The Blackman Road bridge over I-94,
• The eastbound M-60 bridge to the westbound I-94 entrance ramp, and
• The westbound M-60 bridge over I-94.

Maintenance will also close the left lane of eastbound I-94 from Concord Road to M-60.

This work will require closing the Dearing Road interchange and bridge over I-94. Traffic will be detoured via Michigan Avenue to County Farm Road from 7 a.m. Friday, June 7, until 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1.

The M-99 bridge over I-94 will be closed from 6 a.m. Monday, June 3, until 9 a.m. Friday, June 7. Traffic will be detoured via 28 Mile Road.

The Blackman Road bridge over I-94 will be closed from 6 a.m. Monday, June 10, until 9 a.m. Friday, June 14. Traffic will be detoured via Sandstone Road.

The eastbound M-60 bridge to the westbound I-94 entrance ramp will be closed from 7 a.m. Monday, June 3, until 9 a.m. Monday, June 17. Traffic will be detoured via Airport Road.

The westbound M-60 bridge over I-94 will have one lane closed from 7 a.m. Monday, June 3, until 9 a.m. Monday, June 17.

The left lane of eastbound I-94 will be closed from Concord Road to M-60 from 9 a.m. Friday, June 7, until 6 a.m. Monday, June 10.

Detours will be posted. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.
