Starting today, Michigan Avenue in Jackson will once again be open to two-way traffic between Brown Street and Louis Glick/Washington Avenue.
It is expected by early afternoon today, December 21, Michigan Avenue will be have one lane open in each direction.
The roadway has been under construction since spring of this year, with only one lane of eastbound traffic maintained through the work zone and all westbound traffic detoured.
After today, construction will continue along Michigan Avenue with work to convert Louis Glick Highway and Washington Avenue to two-way traffic. That work is expected to be complete by early spring of 2018.
