Consumers Energy has named Mindy Bradish-Orta as Community Affairs Manager for Jackson and Lenawee counties.
In a press release, Consumers Energy noted Bradish-Orta is bringing years of community experience to her new role as the company’s local government and community representative.
Bradish-Orta was most recently president and CEO of the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce and Experience Jackson, the Jackson County Visitor’s Bureau. She held both roles since 2007 and has been active in numerous community organizations and efforts.
“We’re excited that Mindy will join our team in a role that is vital to the prosperity of our company and community,” said Josh Burgett, Consumers Energy’s executive director of community engagement. “Mindy has a proven track record and brings significant experience and connections with leaders in Jackson and Lenawee counties that will allow her to both share our passion for these communities’ success and help deliver energy solutions to our customers.”
“Leaving the Chamber is incredibly hard and bittersweet, but I’m looking forward to helping Consumers Energy deliver world-class performance to customers in this region,” Bradish-Orta said. “I am excited to see what future leadership can do for these organizations and I am excited for my next adventure and opportunity.”
She also has served as president and CEO of the Anchor Initiative, an effort to encourage people to live, work and innovate in downtown Jackson, since 2016.
Consumers Energy is a founding member of the Anchor Initiative. The company says “it will continue to be involved in this and other work to support the community’s success.”
Jackson County Chamber of Commerce Board Chairman Ted Christoff said, “the Chamber greatly appreciates the growth and prosperity that we have experienced under Mindy’s leadership. We are very excited and proud of her as she moves on and grows in her professional career. We will miss her and we are glad she is not going too far away.”
