Napoleon High School graduates Mackenzie Fairbanks and Brittany Leutz, both first-year student-athletes at Albion College, combined to score 15 points in the Britons 77-49 victory over Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rival Olivet College Wednesday night.
Leutz finished with nine points, three rebounds and two assists. Through eight games this season, Leutz is averaging a shade less than four points (3.8) and nearly two rebounds per game.
Fairbanks contributed six points, two rebounds and two assists. Playing in six games this season, Fairbanks boasts averages of 3.8 points and 1.3 rebounds.
Albion, 6-2 overall and 2-1 against MIAA rivals, will play the nationally ranked team from Hope College Dec. 21.
