Napoleon Strives To Be Champions of the Cascades Conference

(8-20-2025, 12:00PM): After a 6-4 season and a 3rd straight playoff appearance, Napoleon is seeking a conference championship in 2025.

Head Coach Derek Shell is returning for his 8th year with the Pirates.

Impactful pirates making a return include all conference LB Ashton Warner (RB/LB), all-conference DB Brenton Owen (RB/S), all conference honorable mention RB Zavier Skog, and all conference honorable mention DL Carson Warner.

Halston Snellenberger is a newcomer whose impact is anticipated. He is only a freshman and already he’s already regarded as the strongest on the team. Snellenberger was the runner-up in the JV powerlifting state meet as an 8th grader.

Along with the responsibilities of being the head coach, Shell is also the offensive coordinator. He wants his team to play football similar to a fight in a phone booth.

Lyle Blando is entering his 1st season as the Pirates defensive coordinator. He will be leading an experienced group, with 10 players returning.

Napoleon’s goals for the season include a Cascade Conference title, and a push in the playoffs.
